Abstract
The article examines the issue of pedagogical mastery of the modern teacher in the context of transformations in the educational system. The main components of pedagogical mastery, professional competencies of the teacher, as well as the requirements imposed on educators under conditions of digitalization of education and learner-centered instruction are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the role of pedagogical mastery in improving the quality of the educational process and in the formation of students’ personalities. The article concludes that continuous professional self-development is an essential condition for the effective activity of a modern teacher.
