Abstract

This article examines the role of women in the development of modern education systems. The study analyzes women’s historical access to education, their growing participation in pedagogical reforms, academic research, and educational policy-making. Particular attention is given to contemporary trends such as gender equality, inclusive education, participation in STEM fields, and engagement in digital learning environments.
The findings indicate that women’s involvement in education extends beyond classroom instruction and significantly influences curriculum development, leadership models, and institutional transformation. Women’s active participation in education is not only a matter of social justice but also a strategic factor in achieving sustainable development. The study concludes that strengthening women’s roles in education enhances educational quality, social stability, and long-term economic progress.
