Abstract

The article examines the linguistic nature of introductory constructions, their syntactic status, and functional-semantic characteristics. It analyzes their role in expressing the speaker’s attitude, their classification into semantic groups, and their positional mobility within the sentence. Special attention is given to the expression of modality, emotional evaluation, logical relations, source of information, and manner of presentation.
