Abstract
The article examines the theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation of sociopragmatic competence of students in the process of teaching dialogical speech in foreign language classes. The essence of sociopragmatic competence, its structure, and its role in preventing pragmatic failures and communicative breakdowns are analyzed. The work proposes a scientifically based set of interactive methods and situational technologies aimed at integrating language knowledge with sociocultural norms of dialogue conduct.
