Abstract
This article explores the essence of English linguocognitive competence, its developmental stages among learners, and the integration of modern multimodal and cognitive approaches into the educational process. Based on experiments conducted with upper-grade students in Uzbekistan's specialized schools, a didactic model that strengthens the unity of language and cognition is proposed.
